Skipper Says
Simplified Skipper Says

Skipper Says can be adapted for smaller children by making it more like Simon Says. Eliminate teams and have the whole class respond to simple commands such as “Turn to starboard,” or “Report to the orlop deck.” Incorporate as many parts of the ship into your commands as possible. In addition to the four decks, include locations aloft and ask students to indicate going aloft by mimicking climbing a ladder using their feet and arms. Then send them up the various masts to adjust different sails.

Have on Hand- Deck of “Crew Cards” from Lesson 5 and a shoebox, container or basket for each group of eight students in your class
